4/25/24 – COLUMBUS BOOK FESTIVAL! – Attention Micro Terrors Listeners! I am thrilled to announce that I’ll be a part of the Columbus Book Festival this year – July 13th & 14th – which will showcase over 200 national & local authors, including headliners such as Veronica Roth (author of the #Divergent series)! I’ll be there with copies of all four Micro Terrors anthologies, plus “Where it’s Always Spooky Season” — as well as some of my more ‘grown up’ horror titles.
4/21/24 – MAY EPISODE LINE-UP REVEALED! I’m ahead of the game this month, so I decided to release the Micro Terrors episode line-up for May a little early. Coming in May, we’ll officially start airing Listener Terrors on the first week of each month! May will feature two original Listener Terror stories sent in from young writers. Then, we hit the road with a father and son who cross paths with TWO different legendary monsters! After that, it’s raining slime – but, this is no ordinary slime (is any of it, really?) We’ll end the month with guest author Radar DeBoard and his original Micro Terror, “Onion Soup“. You won’t want to miss a single week next month!

4/17/24 – 200,000+ DOWNLOADS! – When Micro Terrors was first conceived in 2020, I was printing out a story or two and handing them out during trick-or-treat. Fast-forward to today: I would have never in my life imagined it would turn into a podcast that was not only so well received, but also one that would garner over 200,000 downloads since it launched not even a year and half ago. I am thrilled, excited, and blown away by these results. So, to everyone who has ever listened to an episode, or are regular, weekly listeners, I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart. This has been such a fun and excited ride so far! -Scott

4/11/24 – LISTENER TERRORS UPDATE – To all of you who have sent in Listener Terrors this year, thank you so much for your interest and creativity. We’re thrilled that so many kids out there have been inspired to write their own stories. Since there was such a high volume of them that came in, it has been taking a while to get them all done and out there. So, we are making some changes that will make it easier to know when your story will release. Beginning in May, the first Saturday of every month will be dedicated solely to Listener Terrors! This will be in place of a normal Micro Terrors episodes. That way, once a month, we are able to showcase the amazing talent that is sent in to us. So again, thank you all so much for your patience, but your time is finally coming! I have contacted all the Listener Terror authors that are still on deck and let them know which date their story will air. So far, we are scheduled through July. If some reason we don’t get enough Listener Terrors for other months, we’ll have new, original Micro Terror stories ready to go instead! Thank you all! Stay spooky!

Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause, but because of the issue I’ve come across, this is the best way to proceed to make sure every subscriber receives their welcome packs. Plus, you can print out the 26-page PDF file as many times as you’d like!

It will featured stories heard on the podcast: The Snowman, The Eyes, Ski Forever, Monkula, The Doctor is In, The Cricket, Dominion of Dread, It Came From the Neighbor’s Garden!, Mannix: The Mutant Leprechaun and Yard Shark. Note that Mannix and Yard Shark haven’t aired on the podcast yet, but will have as of the release. The book will also include several Listener Terror stories. The book will be available for Kindle for only $0.99 and in paperback for $7.99. You can preorder the Kindle copy here.

2/29/24 – OUR FIRST CROSSOVER EVENT! We are excited to officially announce our first crossover event with another podcast, the Kid Stories Podcast (please subscribe!). We were approached by Phil Bechtel months ago about a possible team up, and here we are now, with a four-episode/four-week crossover event called “The Toymaker”. Episodes 1 & 2 will release on the Micro Terrors Podcast, and episodes 3 & 4 will release on the Kid Stories Podcast. So make sure you are subscribed to both in order to experience the full story!
2/26/24 – HALLOWEEN IN FEBRUARY!?? KIND OF… As of February 25th, 2024, the 4-part Micro Terrors Halloween Event (to span the four Saturday’s this coming October) has been completed. The story, who’s title is currently being kept under wraps, will deal with a werewolf terrorizing an Ohio town. There’s mystery, horror, and a ton of suspense – perfect for this years spooky season. The story will also be released in paperback through Amazon.

We are working to get through them as quickly as we can, and unfortunately cannot guarantee a podcast release date for any of the stories just yet (as the contracts and Listener Terrors guidelines mention). There are four Listener Terrors (stories sent in by our young listeners) that will air each Saturday in December. These stories will feature ghosts, dolls, swamps, alligator demons and more! And then, on December 23rd, we’ll re-run last years original Christmas episode, “Operation Cornered Kringle“. 2023 has been amazing and Micro Terrors has reached SO MANY more people than I ever thought possible. It’s been able to engage children into writing their own stories, and led to the Micro Terrors Presents: Where it’s Always Spooky Season novella winning a Pen Craft Award. I can’t wait to unleash what we have in store for 2024! Thank you all so much for your support and dedication to the Micro Terrors Podcast! We hope to grow even more next year!
